Payments and signing, added to a CRM that could not go down
Card payments and electronic signatures added to a system people used every day, with no rewrite and no downtime.
The problem
A CRM at the centre of the business needed to take payments and capture signed documents. Replacing it was never on the table. The work had to happen inside a live system, in the middle of a working week, without breaking the thing the company ran on.
What we built
- Card payment integration across multiple processors, with the failure cases handled properly, because in payments the unhappy path is the product.
- Electronic signature capture wired into the existing document flow rather than bolted alongside it.
- Multi tenant boundaries kept intact throughout, so no tenant could ever see another tenant's data.
- Incremental delivery behind flags, so each piece went live on its own and could be turned off without a deploy.
The role
Senior engineer: payments, signing, and the modernization of the surrounding system.

What changed
The business could take money and get documents signed inside the tool it already used, and the migration never showed up as an outage.
